Leather Match versus Full Leather

Leather match furniture combines genuine leather in high-contact areas with synthetic leather in less visible areas, offering a balance of luxury and affordability. Full leather, on the other hand, uses genuine leather throughout the entire piece. Leather match is generally less expensive than full leather but still provides the look and feel of real leather in key areas.

Leather match uses genuine leather on areas like the seat, backrest, and armrests (where your body touches) and a synthetic material (often a high-quality faux leather) on the sides, back, or other less visible parts.
Pros:
- More affordable than full leather
- Offers the look and feel of leather in key areas
- Can be indistinguishable from full leather at first glance.
Cons:
- Durability may be slightly lower than full leather
- The synthetic material may age differently over time.
Leather match can be used for used for sofas, sectionals, recliners, and other large pieces of furniture where cost is a concern.

Full Leather (or Full Leather Upholstery) uses genuine leather on every part of the furniture piece, including the visible and less visible areas.
Pros:
- Most durable and long-lasting option
- Ages uniformly
- Offers the highest level of luxury.
Cons:
- Most expensive option.
Full leather upholstery is used for high-end furniture, items designed for longevity, and pieces where the owner desires the highest quality leather.
